the time travelers wife

It's like a movie you can watch over and over again. It's beautiful, poetic and for a book that is fictional.
there's so much reality to it.

i think New Statemen describes it best " A Modern Fairy Tale".

I especially love the details of the characters, emotions and settings.
simple subtle details that Niffenegger gave attention to write
(of how a six year old sees it as a fish,a thirty six year old sees it as trouts)
minor details that have no effect on the book as a whole yet plays a big part in the readers imagination.

i did find it a bit monotonous midway but i am glad i pushed myself to finish it, i'm definitely going to give it another go.
the context is so rich and i don't think the book could have started with a better introduction.
it has its moments. you'll laugh. you'll cry (in my case a few times, and embarrassingly enough, the worst i cried was in presence of a dear friend) and you'll be all hopeful (well, it made me. i am proud to admit that i am a hopeless romantic, perhaps that's why novels like time travelers wife and the notebook move me because it reaffirms my belief in everlasting love) and time travelers wife is not at all cheesy..a love story yes.

the movie is coming out this december, i usually don't watch movies made from books that i love, ( i've missed out a lot of movies) but this i'm looking forward to, i tried to find a trailer of it but all i could get was fan made videos on youtube from the few photos posted on the main website. (if you read the book, dont you find the meadow very significant?). so far the cast is perfect (i imagined claire to look more like claire forlani though) but i cannot imagine a better pick than Rachel McAdams. Robert Schwentke don't disappoint me please!
ooh i'm so excited and maybe...a tad obsessed.
