Jolene..
I understand the cries behind it but how "nice of a lady" must you be to sing, or even come up with the idea of writing a song like that. I cannot imagine another lady pleading for their man back from any "Jolene". It just seems so wrong in so many ways. You must really love the guy to excuse him for falling for another person. Jolene could be innocently beautiful, which is not her fault or Jolene could be a man stealer, either way- I don't understand why or the need for there to be the song "Jolene". Maybe it's much easier to ask another lady for help rather than trying to get men to understand but I think that is only acceptable if Jolene was the former, innocently beautiful. The song wasn't even angry and the lyrics, works well for the listeners because it was really descriptive [which btw, in Mindy's Smith remake video I thought she was far more prettier than Jolene] but I don't think Jolene deserved the praise.

Dolly Parton just sounded so tired. I hope to not cross paths with any ''Jolene's''.
