Where The Light Is, JOHN MAYER Live in Los Angeles.

This is just an overall view of the dvd itself, not his sound technicalities and guitar skills, perhaps ill have another post for that next time.

+ Overall, the way the dvd was done I thought was brilliant, instead of just having the show and a commentary at the background as an option, this film like set up allowed the audiences to get an insight of john mayer
throughout the show, his thoughts and ramblings between sets and even if he was concentrating on
showing his best for either one, he pulled off both, having the audiences believe that it was all real and the three distinct performances[ acoustic set, trio set, band set], three sides of john mayer in a night. impressive!

+"Thats the thing about people knowing anything about you before you meet them, is that you have to work just to get people back to knowing nothing about you, it will me an take an hour at this point, to ease someones mind to knowing nothing about me" John Mayer.

+Perhaps because Neon was never my favorite, I was quite disappointed with how he started the show. It didn't give me the same feeling I had when I watched Any Given Thursday but as soon as he started playing the next song, Stop this train,the show just kept on getting better and better.

+ After Neon, the whole joke on "John being honored to be the opening for himself.." I think if it was coming from
anyone else I would have probably gone all o h my go d! but because its john..oooh, john you're so funny!
and jammy was right, he has become more cocky but heyy, look at how far his music is speaking nowadays, guess he earned it.

+When John and Robbie [who btw looks like Anthony Hopkins, don't you reckon?] started on Daughters, it was beautiful. The camera actually focused on this random guy at that moment and he had the exact same expression I was feeling.

+I wonder whether there's a connection between Comfortable and Free Falling.

+John Mayer brought a medium pouch like of watches and actually changed in between sets, the way the camera focused on it too was as if it was suppose to mean something. no brands were shown, so cant say he was endorsed by them. it just reminded me of the 'tie my shoelace..different tension affecting stability' in AGT.

+The whole paparazzi incident was entertaining.

+Definitely the best version of Slow Dancing in the Burning Room.

+Why Georgia, gets me all nostalgic. form four, add maths.2003. sunsets. spring cleaning.

+The transition from Heart of Life to In Repair, the rhythm ,the build up, the drums speaks for the songs.
